Voronezhsintezkauchuk JSC is a subsidiary of SIBUR. It is one of the largest manufacturers of high quality rubber, latex and thermoplastic elastomer in Russia. The Company’s production of butadiene-styrene thermoplastics, with a capacity of 35,000 tonnes per year, is unique in the CIS.
Voronezhsintezkauchuk is one of Russia’s largest producers of polybutadiene rubber of mortar polymerization, which accounts for about 40% of the Company’s production.

Part of the rubber output is the industrial production of butadiene-styrene rubbers with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year, which is produced under the programme «Green Tyre» and meets the requirements of the world’s leading companies. The facility for the polymerisation of copolymer rubbers is fully automated.

Today Voronezhsintezkauchuk is the major manufacturer of commercial latexes in the country. The business produces butadiene-styrene, polybutadiene, and polystyrene latexes in a range of 18 brands.

Voronezhsintezkauchuk’s products are sold on the domestic market and abroad. Export deliveries take about 50% of output and are delivered to Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Finland, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, USA and other countries in Europe, Asia and America.

The Company’s raw materials (butadiene, ethylbenzene, styrene, and alphamethylstyrene) are provided by SIBUR’s petrochemical production in Samara.

The infrastructure includes a modern system of biological wastewater treatment with a design capacity of 305,000 cubic meters per day, which purifies not only the business’s waste, but also the industrial and domestic sewage of the entire left bank of the city of Voronezh.

In SIBUR’s corporate structure Voronezhsintezkauchuk is included in the Directorate of Synthetic Rubbers, headed by Andrey Zhvakin.

The main production is synthetic rubbers obtained by different polymerisation methods (solution and emulsion), which provides them with different structures, and hence different properties. The rubbers are widely used in the production of rubber for automotive, aviation and bicycle tyres, etc.

Synthetic latexes are used in the manufacture of latex-based paints, the impregnated bases of carpet-fabric coatings and other areas of hermeticisation and impregnation, as well as the manufacture of gloves, pacifiers, etc.

Thermoelastolayers combine the properties of rubbers and thermoplastics and are used in the manufacture of rail pads, bearings, and CD/DVD mechanisms, etc.
